George Nelson and Robert Propst Action Office roll-top desk by Herman Miller, stand-up height architect's desk with oak tambour roll-top over laminate desk surface, four shallow pencil drawers, original turquoise side panels, aluminum frame, and rear filing cabinet with adjustable filing racks and trays , rear filing door has interior tacking board, wired and having an interior outlet, original finish, 43.5 x 32 d x 65"h, George Nelson designed the Rolltop desk in 1964 for the Action Office series of the American furniture manufacturer Herman Miller. Miller produced multiple design classics by the commitment of the designer George Nelson and the Eames couple. Georg Nelson developed the design of the table based on a study which Herman Miller had commissioned in 1960. Nelson combined lectern and desk to make office work as functional as possible, without losing the aesthetic sight. Provenance: Tasso Katselas Architect
