Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Porcelain Vase. Potted in shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, cylindrical neck, flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of flying Fu bats over abundant ripe pomegranate fruit tree with fresh green foliage. Pomegranate is known as the fruit of happiness for its red color and is a symbol of plentiful offspring for its many seeds. Because the pomegranate is full of juicy seeds, it symbolizes fertility in feng shui, and it is used as a feng shui fertility cure. Pomegranate also symbolizes happiness in the family, as well as good luck for one's descendants. The Daoist attribute to it the same power as the peach of immortality.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
