A pair of Wedgwood jasperware urns and covers, A pair of Wedgwood jasperware urns and covers, 19th century, each twin-handled white stoneware body applied with neoclassical decoration in sage-green and lilac, with medallions of classical figures within formal leaf bands and ribbon swags, the cover with a baluster knop and decorated with acorns and oak leaf sprays, all raised on a flared circular foot, impressed upper case Wedgwood marks, 17cm wide 17cm deep 28cm high (4) Provenance: From the collection of Arthur George Tite Esq. (1904-1984), of 48 Westbourne Terrace, Hyde Park, London W2. Condition Report: One example with chip to the finial and a small chip to the underside of the rim, one handle restored and slight scratches beneath the finial. The classical figures slightly marked. The other example with restoration to the lid (glued and repaired). Both handles and one knop with discolouration and light discolouration to stone bodies. Stand sturdy on their feet when on a flat surface but both screws a little loose causing very slight wobble.
