Vine was first introduced by tiffany in the year 1872. Its innovative multi-motif design is in the japanese style, in aesthetic taste, and is attributed to chief tiffany designer, edward c. Moore. The motifs depicted in vine include various fruits, vegetables, flowers, and one grain (wheat). This rare and highly collected pattern is sometimes referred to as " fruits and flowers" . Edward moore, designer of this pattern, dominated the first era of tiffany made flatware and designed several full lines of sterling patterns.
