A Royal Kuba Female Dance mask dating to the 1920/30's with a signed letter from the KING of the Kuba himself H.M. Nyimi Lukengu, stating the importance of the mask in their court.* Also a 1950's field photograph of a court attendant holding this very mask. According to the Kings letter the mask is called Nganga Ncthemi, representing a female diviner. The mask measures 17 inches tall ( 20 inches tall on professional custom display stand) The Lot will include scan of the field photograph ( please message us to see a copy )and the actual letter from the King of the Kuba peoples, DRC/ Congo, Africa.
