Condition
In overall fine condition. Retaining a rich, historic surface throughout and what appears to be the original slip seat. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Some of the joints to the stretchers are loose, and some of the dowel pegs are protruding causing the chair to have a slight wobble. Few small age cracks visible. The proper rear right side return is cracked with a 1" x 1" loss. There is an old age crack to the crest rail on the proper right side at the junction with the stile. There is an old repair to the proper left seat rail at the junction with the leg post. The proper left side of the slip seat is cracked at the junction with the front and rear rails. Few small specks of old white paint to the back, likely due to someone painting a wall near the chair.
