Carved and pierced African wooden basket or vessel, possibly created in Cameroon. With repeating figures and lizards along the sides.
Provenance: From the Estate of Horst Rechelbacher, Osceola, Wisconsin; Private Collection, Minnesota.

Condition
The item is in fair condition. All pieces are present and there are no major losses. There is a major crack or split to the wood of the base, visible in the lot listing. There is evidence along the underside of a possible attempt to repair the split. Dirt and dust collected along the recessed areas. Wear and discoloration to the wood consistent with age and use.
